Peniche—a day at the seaside

Sept. 15th: Today we took a bus to Peniche, one of two beach communities where surfing, sunbathing, and eating fresh seafood are the reasons for visiting. We walked and walked and enjoyed a lovely seafood salad for lunch. Remember, clicking on a picture expands it.
Fantastic market. It was the first thing we stumbled upon after exiting the bus.

She was moving fast.

Peniche is known for its fresh fish.

are wearing wetsuits.

Peniche fortification on the Atlantic. Brazil is 3000 miles west.

Bobbin lace making goes back 400 years in Peniche.
